Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio

Rating: 5 of 5 talking crickets Visually stunning, well acted, well paced, well told. An absolute joy to watch, from the opening scene to the credits. You know the basic story, del Toro's follows the book, and is correspondingly darker, but not so dark children won't enjoy it.

White Noise

Rating: 2 of 5 Plot changes Some truly entertaining and inventive scenes, interspersed with a bogglingly incoherent plot, which is more a series of short stories, some of which work and some of which don't. As a whole film, it was a confusing mess.
