The twitter apps swirl

Just another rant, really, another wakeup call to take ownership of your own content. It’s fine to share it all in the cloud, I use Gmail and Google Calendar, and Twitter, but I also mirror any important content elsewhere. With the announcements Twitter, and their acquisition of atebits, the developer who wrote Tweetie, the web is buzzing away at how twitter is destroying app developers, etc. It was a little sad to read about how many millions had been invested in one-off twitter-centric products.

The first 100 days

Today was Pepper’s 100th day birthday! She’s around 8 pounds now. Learning really quickly, sit, down, drop it, outside, very short stays, and come, occasionally. Almost knows shake, but she’s being difficult about that. Measuring can be tough, she’s such a bundle of engergy, but… Nose to tail ~16″ Tail to shoulders ~9″ Height ~9″

First time she slept through the night

Took a while, but last night Pepper went to bed around 9pm, and didn’t ask to go out until 6:30am! That’s a really nice first.

Second vet visit!

The second vet visit went well, Pepper got to meet everyone again. And, 3 out of 4 problems were taken care of. She had giardia tapeworms, roundworm, and coccidia. Only the coccidia remained, so one more round of meds. And, she’s up to 6.2 Pounds! From 3.6 the day after we got her.

Week two

Two weeks already? Wow, it seems like much longer than that! Pepper’s grown at least 1lb since we got her (given she was 3.6 pounds, that’s huge!). She knew her name on the second day, is more or less learning “come”, although she’s headstrong. Have her wearing a collar most of the time, although she’s still scratching at it after a week, and starting short times with a leash attached to the collar, just walking around the house with it dragging on the floor.

Day Two

Got up at 6:15, went out immediately (another small accident at the door, will have to come up with a way to change that), another pee and poop outside. Put her in her run as I made coffee, and petted the bunny. She didn’t do well there, crying for 25 minutes straight. The run is in view of the kitchen, and next to the living room, so she could see me.
